Hi there! I'm Madison Decker, owner of TIT FOR TAT Vintage.
I started T4T when I was 18 years old, sewing random scraps of fabric into tube tops for my BFF and I. After just dropping out of college and having no clue what I wanted to do in my life, I decided I would do what I've always loved - make and sell clothing.
I quickly realized thats a hell of a lot harder than it sounds. I am completely self taught when it comes to sewing so the list of things I could make was pretty small. I would buy and sell some vintage here and there and make what I could but really came into my own when I discovered 'Upcycling'. I started buying items at thrift stores and making them new again by cutting pieces off, adding new embellishments, etc. But after almost 5 years, I've decided to take TIT for TAT into a new direction.
Starting in 2021 T4T will now focus on all things vintage!
This last year I bought a house, had a baby and got married! All these new and exciting milestones have made it very difficult to put 100% into my business and after careful consideration I have decided this is the road I want to take.
Vintage pieces will always have my heart and will forever be my favorite thing to shop for. I have found some amazing pieces over the years that I can't wait to share with you all!
